Our mission is to promote mental well-being through bibliotherapy and access to books across Australia.
About us
As a trusted collaborator with the Australian Government, Defence Industry, the wider Ex-Service Organisation and a number of Emergency Services across Australia, The Australian Bibliotherapy Foundation is enabling thousands of Australian’s to heal through bibliotherapy.
Our charity consists of veterans, doctors, business leaders and so many heroic Australian’s who have experienced the benefits of reading first-hand and are committed to changing the work force culture of reactive instead of pre-emptive education for adversity, stress and well-being.
The world is facing an epidemic of mental health issues, a marked reduction in reading and education levels and a lack of alternative support mechanisms for organisations wanting to support their team’s wellbeing.
To address these issues our charity has set up a number of programs dedicated to increasing bibliotherapy as a common practice within the work force. We also pride ourselves on raising awareness about the benefits of bibliotherapy as a cost effective pre-emptive support mechanism and to provide resources and courses to those in need.
Through our programs our charity is growing the collective resilience, education, and supporting stress reduction for thousands of people.
